Third Grade YOXO Day for Joan Ott's Room!
Ms. Ott's room was the lucky third grade class to participate in the YOXO Day! They were first introduced to the pieces, a conversation about different types of patterns happened and then they were allowed to create. Many third graders knew what YOXO was and had used them before! The third graders were first asked to create a pattern using the YOXO pieces. It could be a color pattern, a shape pattern or a pattern that included both color and shape. They were then asked to create something that looked like something in the real world. The last item they were asked to create was something that would span between two objects. At the end of the lesson they had time to create their own ideas! I have included pictures from their day below. I hope you enjoy what they created!
